WRITE YOURSELF A NOTE
Before you start the protocol, either the night before or that same morning, write yourself a little letter explaining the reason why you are making this life changing decision. What would you like to accomplish? Why are you trying to lose the weight and what have you tried so far that did not help you? Refer to this letter whenever you are feeling discouraged during your diet.
DRINK ALL THE WATER
Water will hydrate your muscles, keep you constantly satisfied and help you burn the fat that you want to lose.
MAKE IT INTERESTING
Search for recipes and try new flavors. Following the Ideal Protein Protocol will help you discover new flavor combinations for your vegetables and protein by just adding spices or herbs.
DON’T FORGET YOUR VEGGIES
Eating 4 cups of vegetables is VERY IMPORTANT because it will help your bowel movements and keep you full between meals. If you ever experience slower bowel movements, check to be sure you’re getting all your veggies, drinking all your water and taking your supplements.
WEIGH YOUR PROTEIN
A lot of people tend to deviate from the protocol by not measuring their protein. It is very important that measure meat RAW, not cooked. Always remember to check your Phase 1 sheet for the options of lean proteins that you can choose from.
LOG YOUR FOOD DIARY
1) We need a record to go back to when we have a week that doesn’t look right for fat & muscle loss. 2) Phase I is a re-education process of what is in the food you are eating – carbs, fats, calories. 3) You need to be sure that you are getting a minimum of 800 calories per day. 4) Dieters that log their food lose approximately 20% more! They also keep their weight OFF!
